Dalai Lama

Who is Dalai Lama ?

Dalai Lama is the foremost spiritual leader of the Tibetan Butddism. On July 6, 1935, in Taktser, in China, the Dalai Lama was born Lhamo Thondup. He took political influence as the Dalai Lama in Tibet at the age of 15. That same year, China’s People’s Republic invaded. He and thousands of supporters fled to Dharamshala (Northern India) to form an alternative government for the fears of assassination. Since then, in the hope of setting up an independent Tibetan state in the People’s Republic of China, the Dalai Lama has taken several actions. Nevertheless, the Chinese government showed no indication of progress towards peace and reconciliation with Tibet. In addition, in the sense of his charitable activities, the Dalai Lama has delivered hundreds of lectures and workshops worldwide. In 1989, he received the Nobel Prize for Peace. In December 2008, after gallstone service, the Dalai Lama reported his semi-retirement.

“The Purpose Of Life”

Whether we are rich or poor, educated or un-educated, whatever our nationality, color, social status or ideology may be, the purpose of our lives is to be happy.

The Dalai Lama says that whatever our color, nationality or anything maybe. The only thing that matters for our lives is the happiness. It is quite clear that everyone in this world wants to be happy, right? There is no one who wants to be sad, depressed, lost or something else that makes us feel ourselves bad. The Dalai Lama wants everyone to share love, happiness, kindness and humbleness.

“Love Is The Center Of Human Life”

Love and compassion are the ultimate source of human happiness, and our need for them lies at the very core of our being.

The more we care about other people ‘s happiness, the greater our feeling of well-being. The cultivation of a warm, near feeling towards others automates the mind. This helps to eliminate any doubts or insecurities and provides us with the courage to tackle challenges. It is the ultimate source of life ‘s success. Like, the more you give, the more you receive, the more you give love, the more you receive love and compassion from one another.

“Love Your Enemy”

If you have love and compassion toward all sentient beings, particularly to your enemy, that is true love and compassion.

Love your enemy alternatively means forgiving your enemy. So what happens, when you don’t forgive your enemy. Well, it goes on and on til one of the anger bond forgives another. Once you forgive your enemy with love or compassion, the anger starts to breakdown and the bond of love starts to exist and forms a friendship. Of course, this practice will be difficult to most people and is really challenging.

“Building A Better Life”

One wants happiness and doesn’t want suffering, on the basis of that, one enters into good actions and avoid bad actions.

As Dalai Lama always mentions, nobody on this earth wants bad things. No one wants to be sad or face with tragic situations that makes us unhappy. So, the more you make good actions, the more your environment gives good actions to you. Everyone should avoid bad actions because they will grow bad things continuously as everything is connected.

“Happiness Can’t Be Bought”

Mental peace cannot be injected by any doctor, no market can sell mental peace or happiness.

Happiness in this case is not buying what you want and feeling what you ought to. Mental happiness is the true happiness that evolves from the happiness I mention above. Buying, wearing and using things what we want is not an actual happiness, they are just cravings. But it doesn’t mean your mental happiness occurs even though you cannot achieve things you want. It just depends on situation and the person. Somehow you will understand that happiness cannot be bought because generally happiness we know and personal satisfaction are related. For example, you buy a new modern mobile phone, you are satisfied with it’s new features and specifications but on time, more and more new mobile phones with new features will get into the market and you will want one again and again and again. The main reason is because it doesn’t make you happy at all time.
